I woke up this morning to find my wonderful man making breakfast and he greeted me with a big kiss. I love Valentines Day and he asked me if I wanted my gift now or later. Of course I said, now would be wonderful, I am not very patient and I guess and I would have to wait till he comes home from work. I received a Pandora Bracelet with a heart lock...love it...kiss, kiss....later I will give my hubby a big heart shaped cake with lots of sweetness. So I started out blessed and loved....Back to work and wow....
I really got inspired so wow, all engines are running full on with ideas. I am making a new collection of jewellery inspired by my own Christian Art. If you follow me at all you can see some of my Christian themed Paintings on my Gallery pages.
Anyway, I learned so much from the Art History classes I took (which included a lot of Christian art) and I began to get a deeper understanding about how the ancient artists decorated their places of worship. Everyone knows about the Cysteine Chapel and how MichelAngelo painted the ceiling, well I learned more about the details, symbols and metaphors of that ceiling and many more chapels that are similar. The art painted on the walls of the religious churches, Cathedrals and tombs all had deep meaning and that Art spoke to the viewers of the time and also today and paintings were almost like reading Scriptures. To the believers who could not read or write the experience of seeing these works was almost like heaven. They learned enough to have faith and believe in the Holy eternal God and His Son, Jesus.
What am I doing? Today I am just following my artistic impulses and my faith. I hope that the works that I have painted and encapsulated in my new "Collection of Inspirational" Jewellery will uplift you. I hope the pieces that are represented here on this website will inspire you and give you pause to reflect.
