What is a catch all? Everyone has a junk drawer or a bin to pitch things into. It is a habit that brings about many discussions among people. The "Catch all" can cause lots of guilt and nagging, and searching, for the illusive pen, sock, or elastic band.
I have several bins and my favourite is my cubby hole in my bookcase, but I want to talk about a different kind of "catch all", its the files and pages and pages of ideas that I collect.

I write notes all the time, my memory cannot keep it all and I do have many subjects that I am interested in. This summer I am using my time to organize my "Catch All" and I am building journals and files that are easy to look through sans my little pieces of paper everywhere.
What does this mean? It means that I want to use the ideas and concepts that I have long stored away and going through everything has been cathartic and meaningful. I see the potential that was right under my nose so to speak, just like the fun you have if you find your favourite key ring or pen in your junk drawer. Organize never to loose it again and have the "stuff" right at your finger tips all the time.
I have the files going and the journal ready to fill up and the notions and opinions ready to build on.

Start a file of pictures you would like to draw, examples of paint colours, and "how to do" articles. You could rearrange your recipes and file them into folders, what if you wrote a book with anecdotes about your old, old recipes from Grandma?
