Sunny Friday for us

Yes the sun is out full on and the heat is building. It is a cheerful day today. This is going to be a great weekend and I will be out in the yard with Dennis to build our new planter boxes. We started vegetables from seed about 5 weeks ago and now the plants such as green peas, squash, cucumber, cilantro, tomatoes and beets are getting high and almost ready to plant. Since I have been isolated for so long the Spring and the Soil are sending the message that change is coming and the frost is leaving and everything is going to be okay.

I set out my watercolours and a new table to work on, with brushes, pots of water gleaming in the bright light and glistening white paper. The leaves are fresh green on my Ginko trees and the grass is full of brilliant yellow dandelions. They are okay they live with everything else. These Ginko trees are unusual and the leaves are delightful.

Quick sketches of my little yard leaves me very pleased and dots of colour that drip off my brush are the icing on the cake. Thank God we can depend on this thrilling growth, the warm sun and the cool rain. I look forward to eating the fresh vegetables, berries and a little bit of lettuce. I will dribble the olive oil over my medley and dive into the food our world has supplied.
