I am changing my name

Well, to clarify, I am using the English translation for Terre Verte Art. It will be on this website sharing the title of Green Earth Art. Why?

I have noticed that lots of people do not understand the french words and they find it awkward to pronounce. The Green Earth title accents the more recent theme of my work. I mainly like to show off the unnoticed or the unglorified parts of nature. Some of my work stems from my use of pencil crayons, water colour and pastels. Organic colours are my favourite and mixing them to bring out the shades and tones of organic material is especially challenging and very intriguing.

Since the lockdown I have not been able to move around much to gain more resources for inspiration but I have taken pictures of some very ordinary looking bushes, scrub brush that have been deadened by winter. These things really excite me and I love the details in the wrinkled up leaves and broken stems. (see pic below).

This mud puddle I photographed is one example of my theme. You can see the details of the water and the submerged cottonwood leaves and stems. Below this picture is my finished pencil drawing of the "The Mud Puddle".

Above, samples of what and how I use my art for the jewellery, plus a messy clump of leaves and tiny dried flowers...…this is my newest subject to paint. Show you later.

I make the jewellery I have on this site using my prints of my work. I like to share them with you because they are my way of saying "our wonderful world". I am always hoping that my collectors will understand my intentions and get the feeling of wearing and loving the earth. Hope all is well with all of you. Me and my family are well and waiting for more freedom this Spring and Summer. Please take a moment to comment on my website because I would love to hear from you.
